Long indigo dyed cotton scarf or sarong is created using an ancient Japanese shibori folding technique and natural indigo dye. The striking design has a subtle stripe effect as the indigo tones float across the scarf.
Each scarf in this range varies slightly but has a similar stripe theme. Indigo dyeing is a natural, spontaneous process that produces amazing variations within the same dyeing vat!
Scarf measures 200cm x 50cm (78.5" x 19.5") and can also be used as a beach sarong. It may be hand washed with gentle detergent in warm water and line dried - do not soak.
Indigo scarves are created in my small outdoor studio in tropical Australia.
